My students come form diverse backgrounds. My school is an International Baccalaureate campus that focuses to provide economically disadvantaged students the opportunity to experience rigorous coursework. 90% of our students are Title I, and unfortunately do not receive academic support outside of school. My classes are often filled with students that have the desire to be successful yet have not been exposed to an environment that nurtures those desires. My campus is the smallest in the district which allows the staff to create life long learning experiences with our students. Being the only Title 1 middle school campus in the district, our job can be challenging. We often must think outside the box to reach our students. Our Mission is to develop open-minded, reflective thinkers who experience a broad and balanced choice of advanced academics through rigorous coursework, aimed at creating knowledgeable and caring citizens.
