I am a resource support teacher for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Students in the resource and part of the special education program. They have all of their classes in the general education but receive specific supports from a special education teacher. As a resource support teacher, I primarily support students inside the learning center. In the learning center I focus on individualized student goals, organizational skills and social emotional learning. My classroom is set up in a way that makes resources and supplies accessible so students can practice their academic independence. We have a reading nook with comfy seats, bonsai plants and student created posters.
