I teach Kindergarten at a high poverty school. It is sad to find that some of my students have never been read to prior to arriving at school. My job is to teach foundational skills for students so they will become strong readers. My students begin school with a huge enthusiasm for learning. I want to keep that excitement alive so that my students grow to become life-long learners.
