I teach 9th grade biology and 12th grade environmental science at a selective magnet school that has traditionally produced the social, economic, political, and academic leaders of the city. Despite our position as a prestigious institution, we remain a public institution as underfunded and underesourced as many others in the city. My students have incredible potential and thirst for relevant and challenging learning opportunities. Keeping up with their insatiable appetite is especially challenging with resource limitations.

About my class
