My students need to learn pen and ink drawing techniques. I am hoping to purchase 10 Alphonso Dunn workbooks and Micron Pigma pens to use along with their sketchbooks, to practice their pen and ink techniques. There are over 100 exercises in the Pen & Ink Drawing workbook which can be spread out over 3 grade levels to help build skills with shading and inking various forms and subject matter. These skills are foundational and can be transferred to other drawing media, including digital. In addition, they will support students going into drawing at the high school. I believe students confidence will be improved dramatically by having individual access to these workbooks.
