One of the most important parts of being in school is to be able to grow socially and develop friendships. Recess is a time during the day when students can play and work on social skills to develop friendships. Young students enjoy riding trikes, swinging, climbing and playing ball. Young students develop social skills and friendships during recess time. My students with special needs are typically not able to participate with peers during recess due to inappropriate equipment. My students need adapted equipment like a Tricycle Pro, to provide them with physical support to engage in recess activities with peers. Friendships can develop if they can play side by side.
