I teach in a low income school. Most of our students receive free lunch and live below the poverty line. I teach ESL kindergarten. I have twelve Hispanic, four Arabic, and two Chinese students. Most of them do not speak any English. They come with little or no knowledge of any kindergarten academic skills. They are way behind the English speaking students. They are very sweet and I have few behavior problems. They come eager to learn and want to be successful. They are like little sponges and absorb everything they see and hear.
