My school is located in the School District of Philadelphia. My students come from diverse backgrounds, family situations and socioeconomic background. One thing they all have in common is their desire to do well. As a teacher everyday they surprise me in some way, whether it be overcoming adversity or being kind to another student. In our classroom, we are a family that supports each other. Many of my students have been in this exact school with their classmates for years. They always seem to be able to make room for new students though with open arms. Their thirst for knowledge keeps me going everyday.
