I have the privilege of teaching students in kindergarten through second grade that are considered "at-risk." My school is in an urban, low economic community. All of the students are on free lunch. We are a Title I School with limited materials. The students I teach go home to parents and grandparents that do not have the ability or desire to help their child with homework. Even though these students are struggling academically they are very eager to learn and take in all that is given to them by all the teachers that work with them on a daily basis.
