My students regularly use computers in class. I upload lesson materials and articles to Google Classroom, students write essays and complete assignments on Google Docs, students collaborate on various projects by working simultaneously on the same document from different computers, etc. There are many things we do in English class to prepare students to not only be literate, but to be technologically literate. However, I currently only have twenty Chromebooks for about thirty students. While my students are very good about sharing and finding alternate ways to complete assignments, my goal is that every student can use his/her own computer.
