Each student in my classroom has been identified as a student with special needs. These needs are outlined in their Individualized Education Plan to target skills that need specific practice in order to be successful in the school environment. My goal is for all of my students to reach their individual potential. I need these supplies to tailor the curriculum to highlight their strengths and push them to work on their weaknesses. With the pouches and toner, we will be making each student their own notebook to work on their IEP goals. The aromatherapy will be used in our room daily to create a calming learning environment to minimize distraction and negative behaviors. The remaining supplies are tools recommended by occupational therapists to work on fine motor skills.
