Students will be able to use the Chromebooks to access a variety of sites to support learning and to practice skills in reading and math. Just to name a few of the sites they will be able to use are Khan Academy, IXL, Moby Max, Engage NY and APEX. Giving low-income and struggling students access to new technology is an investment in their future. Having access to technology they would not otherwise have will open a world of learning and knowledge for them on a daily basis. We are a combined junior/senior high school with an enrollment of over 315 students. At this time, we have one cart of 25 chrome books which are used by all classes in junior and senior high as well as being used for all district and state assessments. With there being such a high demand for the use of technology, these Chromebooks designated for the junior high students would create a great opportunity for student learning.
