I am so excited to start our next school year. I have missed being in the classroom and cannot wait until I can see and work my students again. I want to make sure that their first experience in our classroom is fun and educational. I am asking for books about farm animals, toy fruits and veggies so we can practice harvesting food, and materials for math games for our beginning of the year Farm theme! I know that my students will love digging for strawberries in our classroom strawberry garden. They can use a rake and dig through a sensory bin to find the berries! Once the strawberries are picked we can count and sort them. We will use the toy carrots in our math and science centers as well. This project will also allow us to add farm books, like Mrs. Wishy Washy on the Farm and The Big Red Barn to our theme library. I know that my students will love starting our year down on the farm!
