My third graders are dedicated to displaying excellence throughout our school building. My students come from various homes with many socio-economic and family strains. Students come to school with weights that a small child should never be required to carry. This is the case for most of the students at the Title I school. If I could describe the students in my class and at the school in one word, I would call them overcomers. Despite the obstacles my students face, they overcome them so that they can receive a quality education within their school environment.
