I have a simple design for making rockets out of paper and cardboard. Students are given the freedom to modify all parts of the basic paper rocket design. Real rocket engines are so much more exciting than firing plastic two liter bottles up with air pressure. My main goal for this project is for my regular education students to design, build, and launch a real rocket with the moderate and profound special education students down the hall from us. Quentin is one of those students. Science will take place, but so will a lot of love. Yes, the picture of my classroom is filled with smoke.
