Giving my students access to nonfiction materials will allow them to grow as readers. This will provide them with opportunities to read a genre that may be unfamiliar to them and hopefully they will come to love. As our world becomes more complex it is important that students are able to gather, read and make sense of the world around them. Learning to organize and present nonfiction material in a meaningful way is a life-long skill. Students who become adept and confident in their ability to learn and share information will excel academically. Thank you for this opportunity to enrich my students' lives.
