I am employed at a Title One school, located in a rural area. Many of the students we serve come to school lacking general background knowledge and are usually performing one to two grades below grade level in reading and mathematics. Many of the students I serve have poor self esteem and lack motivation. I would like to change that perspective to one of hope and triumph.
