My students are attending a small charter school in Northern New Mexico. Our city is poor with high rates of poverty and exposure to many influences - both positive and negative. Students here desperately need exposure to what is possible! My students are lagging behind in literacy skills, but not in heart or spirit. With just a little push, they have the potential to make a difference in their small community and the world. Change for these kids comes in small doses, a little at a time, but makes a big impact. Because we are a small public charter, there are never enough resources to go around. But, these students deserve a quality, rich education - and it can change their lives!

About my class
