I've selected different types of seating and materials to create flexible learning in my classroom from Amazon Business, Kaplan Early Learning Company, Quill and a few other companies. It will give my students options to determine which type of chair helps them focus and do their best work. These items will be an addition to the monies I've personally spent to start flexible seating in my classroom. Having comfortable and portable cushions, chairs, and stools allows me to continually redesign and improve the learning environment. My English language learners would now be able to move closer for direct instruction. I can set up the room so it's one large class, small groups, or partners whether it's during guided instruction, independent work, projects, or silent reading. Not only will this help during my lang. arts instruction, but during math and science too. Please know that coming in from the heat and being comfortable and cool is a wonderful feeling. It helps motivate a student when they feel secure to take the risks needed to achieve their full potential.
