My students are longing for outdoor physical equipment that is designated just for outdoors. Another teacher and I purchased sand toys for the sand pit for the campus but the students ask for balls, nets, games, and scarves. The physical education teacher has a limited amount of money to use for indoor space and can not fund the outdoor materials needed for recess. The students selected items from the catalog that would benefit the campus by selecting things for older and younger students as well as a set of weights for teachers. The students picked balls, hoops, jump ropes for active movement and a cart for storage to maintain items. Our school is landlocked so space is limited and we need to make the best use out of every inch. All materials will be used outdoors to keep our students moving and play together cooperatively. Building community and coming together as a cohesive community is important! The eco-green team students recognize the need for additional outdoor materials and the students helped write this project. The eco-green team is a partnership of students, teachers, and community members. Wellness for all is a top priority this school year! Please help us make this dream come true! Thank you!!!
