I am a literacy specialist who teaches reading to students in third-fifth grade. Our school is at-risk with an eighty percent population of second language students. We have a seventy percent rate of free and reduced lunch. I have a very diverse population of students in my own reading class. There are many ethnicity's represented and special needs students as well.
