I teach Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 in an inner-city school in California. We are a small school with under 600 students, and our students have come from a broken school system where many of their basic skills are lacking and in some cases have not experienced great success in school. I am trying to encourage pride in their achievements and show them that math is not "hard" and that they can be great at it.
