Early learners learn best through play. Funding this project will provide my students with opportunities to engage in play throughout the school day. Play is an opportunity to develop relationships with students, as well as teach them! In an early childhood special education classroom, it is critical to have toys for children to play with. Toys can be used to facilitate language development in students who have language delays and can be used to teach students social/emotional skills, among many other skills. Having a wide variety of toys available to students to spark their interest in learning is so important! I have chosen to ask for a marble run, cars, trucks and a train set. These tools will allow my students to practice using language when playing. They will be able to request for items and comment on what they are playing with. Please consider donating to my classroom and helping my kiddos have a successful school year!
