I have 3 sections of classes with about 24 students in each class. Because of the inclusion program, there is a academic gap. These novels will allow for small literature groups. Being able to meet each student where they are and still read complex text is my goal. These novels will will hold the interest of 6th graders. They can enjoy reading while I can differentiate, reaching the highest of the high, the lowest of the low, and all that fall in between! The variety of genres will appease to different interests, allowing them to choose. These novels will also work well with our writing. It will allow students to read different styles of writing while they write and fine tune their own craft.
