Our 6th grade reading classes will be reading the book Wonder by RJ Palacio. This book encourages it's readers not to judge by outward appearance but, to get to know people on the inside. It teaches us to be kind, accepting, and strong. This is exactly what incoming junior high students need to be exposed to so, we are reading it for our first novel study of the year! Having enough books for each student to borrow each class period allows them to dive deep into the book and grasp it's deepest messages while also exploring reading concepts and covering state mandated topics.

About my class
