We are a charter school located in South Minneapolis. Our school is dedicated to social justice, small class sizes and meaningful learning through hands-on experiences and field trips. Our school is a K-8 and has 116 students, no more than 14 students in each grade. Over 50% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Additionally, over 50% of our students are children of color. Our school is an amazing community and a wonderful place to work. However, since we keep our class sizes small we need to fund-raise for 30% of our budget each year. Our school does not have any extra money and our technology department suffers because of it. As a young teacher, I see the immense value in exposing kids to technology at an early age. Being able to get these iPads would be a game changer for our kids!
