What do children in poverty need in a music program? Well, they definitely need instruments. As you can see from my profile picture, my music room is lacking instruments. I have my piano and that is it. I teach 6-8 grade and find that I need tools to teach properly and create an exciting environment for my students. I am trying to build-up my room so that I can provide relative and fun lessons. By starting a piano station, I will give my children an opportunity that they do not have in their homes. I can teach them an instrument that they cannot already afford.
