My students are great! They are a lot of fun to teach. Many of my students have some type of challenging situation in their home lives, yet they come to school every day and try to do their best. Although science is not the favorite subject of many of my students, they are generally engaged during lectures, group discussions and they do awesome in labs. I teach in an urban high school in Chicago and the majority of our students are on free/reduced lunch. My school's goal is to have 100% of our students accepted to and matriculate through college. We have ambitious goals and high expectations for our students, however, our resources and funding are very limited.
