Our students live in a low income community, and attend one of the largest K-8 elementary schools in the district. The eighth grade is full of motivated learners of all different abilities. Nearly 13% of our students receive Special Services in an Inclusive setting, and our learners are very diverse. Our school strives to meet the individual needs of all types of learners in order to prepare them for higher education. By following CCSS, using creative and interactive lessons, students at our school are able to take charge of their own learning. With the use of Google Chromebooks, they would be able to access Scope Magazine articles at home, enabling them to practice and reinforce the skills learned in class.
