What is nice about a digital environment is the ability to differentiate. Google Classroom and Google apps allow me to build a set of individualized resources for my students. I will be able to include a “choose your own adventure” option to many assignments and empower my students to take control of their learning. Through the use of Google docs, Gmail, and blogger, my students will share their work with parents, teachers, and peers. Allowing students access to refer back to learning intentions, assessment rubrics, and key ideas on our Google Classroom page whenever they need them will boost engagement and overall learning. Your funding for this project will allow my students to interact with literature through blogging, book talks, message boards, literature circles, and movie trailers all through an individualized plan for each student. My students are readers who thrive in a project based and collaborative environment, and they are also goal driven. By implementing this technology into our classroom, my students will Read! Lead! Succeed!
