Kids struggle with literature that isn't real to them. Bringing non-fiction into the classroom awakens their perception and pushes them to deepen their worldview. Unfortunately kids cannot afford to purchase certain pieces of literature on their own, so this project would allow me to have a class set of "In Cold Blood" so that we could broaden our horizons as a class in the way that we see society and the world around us. Students learn and grow individually as they journey through units of study such as this - I truly believe they leave understanding themselves more and having a stronger respect for our world.

About my class
