The materials I am requesting will allow students to get the best use out of the district provide iPads and programs/apps we use in the classroom. Many programs have a listening, speaking and writing parts to it so it is very important that working headphones and styluses are alvailable for their daily use and containers to have a place to store them. Students not only use iPads in the class as part of their learning but also use them to take District mandated assessments. Many of my students don't have Internet access at home but are expected to do research for writing and science projects so having a printer and ink available for them to use would facilitate their learning and allow them to be one step close to success! Science and Social Studies resources are also limited at our school so Science Spin and Scholastic News magazines will provide my students with extra knowledge in that subject area and it can also be integrate with the technology we are currently using.
