This new rug will allow my students a more comfortable environment while learning. We start every day on the floor. We have our morning message, phonics activities and read-alouds on the floor. Unfortunately, my students are sitting on a cold tile floor. The rug will help students have a space of their own while helping them stay engaged and focused. The new classroom rug will be used by my 1st graders throughout the day, giving them the opportunity to get away from their desk and participate in cooperative learning activities. Kids need to move and stretch. Working at a desk can become boring. With your donation, my students will have a fun space to create and learn.
