I am one of 5 ESL teachers at Focus Learning Academy of Northern Columbus. Our school is 90% English Language Learners, predominately Somali refugees. Our students are happy and engaged in learning every day. Most of our students have not had the rich musical environment that native born students have. We want to provide experiences that will inspire creativity and hone skills that will enhance learning in all subject areas.
