I work in a small area where there is only one school for students in grades PK -12. We are a Title One school and 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch. In this school we are blessed to have class sizes around 20. I am the English/Language Arts teacher for the 4th and 5th grade students. I work with these students daily on their reading and writing skills. Unfortunately, we do not have a working computer in our classroom. Our school has so many great online resources but my students have a difficult time getting access to them. My fifth grade students have to take a very important assessment at the end of the school year. I would like for them to have access to using a computer so they can practice writing and reading online. This is a skill that takes practice in order to master. These students deserve the opportunities to be successful.
