Please help! In order for me to be able to connect to my English Language Learners and teach them virtually, I need a functioning laptop with a camera to support their instruction. With this laptop, I will be able to connect with my students while they are home during their virtual learning days. My current computer does not have a functional camera and will not allow my students to see me during online lessons. Current budget cuts are causing a huge strain on our technology needs. English Language Learners need to be able to see and hear their teacher. It is especially important for newcomers who need to be able to see my mouth in order to learn how to form certain letters and sounds that may not exist in their native languages. Without video capability, it will be nearly impossible for my students to receive the proper lessons and engagement with me that they will need in order to be successful in learning English along with grade level academic content.
