"Minds are like books; they function only when opened." I teach middle school language arts (primarily seventh grade). Our school improvement goal is to improve reading comprehension. Many students in my school do not have access to reading materials at home or through a public library. By creating an up-to-date classroom library, I can help students learn the joy of reading a book that appeals to their interests/needs.
