Our main focus in First grade is reading. Every child comes to my classroom ready to learn and eager to read. Every child also comes to my classroom with their own specific needs and modes of learning. With the use of an iPad many of my struggling students can get excited about learning. The students can use the iPads to access reading programs to help them through fun and exciting games. They can also listen and watch books being read to them through the Houston Public Library and Epic. With the use of an iPad, I hope to help my students access important reading resources and make them excited about learning. Nothing is more exciting to the student than when they realize they are reading! What a wonderful gift to give to our children.
