So this summer I was on the hunt for a classroom rug. But oh my gosh, they are so expensive. Unfortunately, my school just doesn't have the funds. When we are at the rug, we are learning! By having a rug in the classroom, you have a better chance of gaining and keeping the attention of students. By nature, children are drawn to bright and interesting things. A classroom rug can certainly serve as that calming element for children when they are in the classroom. Rugs are obviously more comfortable than sitting on the cold, hard floor. The simple fact that a child is comfortable means that he or she is more likely to be able to focus, rather than fidgeting. And of course, the fun of sitting on the floor makes anything more memorable!
