My students and I all find the writing process to be much easier and more successful when we use Google Classroom. It allows me to make an assignment and then monitor students in real time as they complete it. We have written essays, completed digital collages, and created presentations using this platform. It is the most effective tool I've found during my entire teaching career because it allows me to provide instant feedback and suggestions as they write. My school has two laptop carts that allow us to use Google Classroom, but they have to be shared with the entire school. This means we don't always get to use this wonderful resource, and it can only be used for big projects instead of day-to-day writing. My students then also have to meet very rigid deadlines because I only have access to the computers for a certain amount of time. If any of them have to miss for any reason or struggle with the assignment, it is very difficult to make up the work.
