The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are specific materials and resources that will enrich our classroom learning environment. The math and reading games will encourage and build on student learning through exploration. As a teacher I want to instill a love for learning in each of my students and I believe that this can be achieved through learning that is fun! The Play Kitchen will provide space for my kiddos to practice positive social skills when they are role playing, interacting with their classmates, and practicing social problem solving skills. The book display shelf will be added to our classroom library. It will be used to display our ‘Books of the Week’ which are books that we read as a class. Students interact with the ‘Book of the Week’ by doing a weekly book writing project, discussing the morals and values that the books is teaching us, or creating charts that organize the similarities and differences between another text (Common Core Standard). Thank you for supporting me and partnering with me in creating a rich classroom environment for my little scholars.
