When considering our students' needs, we observed friends that are bright, talkative and active - so active, that our recesses and brain breaks aren't always enough. Our students need movement to re-engage and focus their minds on everything we ask them to learn, to be the active, engaged citizens we desire! Every item on this list is a tool that helps students MOVE while they are working hard and learning! Wobble chairs and sit discs are a wonderful way for friends to fidget and strengthen their bodies, without detracting from other students' learning. A standing desk will create a safe, open space for our most active friends to work while moving around. Instead of asking students to re-focus by taking a walk, they will have options to refocus that will still include them in the general classroom. We want all our students to be successful, motivated learners. This means acknowledging that everyone learns differently - thanks for helping us create a fun, safe, active learning environment that can cater to all learners!
