We are located in the low socio-economic area of West Dallas. Our scholars are excited to have the opportunity to learn in an environment that challenges and encourages them on a daily basis. In order to prepare our scholars for college and the global community, I want to expose them to as many types of art related careers and opportunities as possible. I would like to use iPads for scholars to make connections outside of our classroom by seeing what artists are doing across the globe. Scholars will be able to post images of their personal artwork online and give feedback to one another. They will be able to create digital artwork collaboratively and individually. The arts are increasingly intertwined with the world of technology and I want our scholars to experience the amazing things that come from this combination.
