Our students are in their first year of reaching their goal of becoming bilingual and biliterate. Every day my 20 kindergartners fully immerse themselves into learning another language and constantly push themselves and others in becoming 21st century critical thinkers. By becoming biliterate and bilingual, our students are becoming prime role models for the communities they come from. They know that knowing another language is an asset and with that they count as two. About 80% of our students receive free or reduced lunch and many will become the first in their families to go on to college! Teachers at our school believe that each student has the potential to achieve and this positivity radiates into our halls and into our community.
