In our classroom, we complete a variety of activities throughout the year. We complete hands-on lab activities, virtual field trips, interactive notebooks, foldables, games, and crafts relating to each topic we learn about. Sadly, many students come to school without the proper supplies to complete these activities and help them be as successful as possible. In order to have labs and other activities be meaningful and engaging to the students, they need to feel prepared. By providing them pencils and glue sticks, I am able to provide materials that will allow them to successfully create manipulative and complete activities. The Newton's Cradle is a great way to help students visually understand the transfer of energy between items.
