In Georgia, 7th grade Social Studies studies the Middle East. Last year, I had the opportunity to take my entire 7th grade level to see the film "He Named me Malala".This was because of Donors Choose. This year, I would like for my students to read Yousafzai's inspirational novel and complete a journal task as we read. This will help us meet our school wide focus on incorporating reading and writing into our curriculum. My hope is that my students, just like Malala, can help change the world and inspire others to stand up for their right to an education.

About my class
