My Kindergarten students are a wonderful diverse group. They all come from a wide variety of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Many of them speak a second language and come from homes where parents work. Our little school is part of a very large school district that has annually made drastic cuts to budgets and funding. There is hardly any money to keep an aide in my busy, 25 student, classroom 2 times a week for a few hours, let alone fund my special projects.
