The Lego 2.0 kits will serve a dual purpose in our schools. First, It will allow students in classrooms to learn about real life phenomena such as natural disasters, motion and speed and pollution and use engineering design to develop solutions. In this project based setting, students will have access to guided projects which help them learn the engineering design process, then progress to open projects where students are given a problem/challenge, and use the knowledge they gained in a guided project to develop a solution. Second, the 2.0 kits will serve as the schools base kit for Lego League.
