I teach a classroom for students with autism which is called a Communication Behavior Classroom in our district. I serve students with needs in the areas of communication, self-regulation, behavior, and sensory processing. We work a lot on social skills, appropriate language and adapted academic instruction. The kids in my class are all such a special piece to the puzzle. They have their own ways of learning but they are all so smart and happy! We have a lot of fun in my classroom with me as the teacher and three paraeducators. I build in opportunities for my students to have fun learning new concepts and skills while still working hard!
