Our school, lovingly named "Baby West", was founded in 2016 with our first group of 100 KIPPsters ready to start climbing the mountain to college! Located in the heart of West Philly, an under-served and impoverished area of the city, we strive to provide all students with the keys to an empowered, choice-filled life through learning. Every day we exemplify what it means to be a KIPP team and family; we "work hard and be nice." During our first year together - we showed love, gratitude, grit, curiosity and bravery both in and out of the classroom. My hope is that we can continue to cultivate young students that are prepared to overcome any challenges they may face and leave the world better than they found it.
